It’s a witness statement—a refusal to be silent. While the powerful preach ‘traditional values,’ LGBTQI people are tortured, imprisoned, and erased. How civilized. My co-author Arghavan Shamsara and I have lived this struggle — from her journey to womanhood, to my transformation from bystander to ally. This book exposes hate dressed as policy.
